Who?
I’m Channing - a guy who loves playing around with tech. I live in South Africa 🇿🇦 - in the beautiful city of Cape Town.
I’m studying Computer Science & Computer Engineering at UCT (University of Cape Town). I became fascinated with technology when I was really young, and have since played around with lots of random stuff. I run my own server at home (Homelab-style) on which this blog is hosted.
Why?
Because I want to help people who are curious about tech to discover how magical it can really be.
Techonology can enrich people’s lives in the most incredible ways. There are so many cool things you can do with tech that seem almost magical. Playing around with tech at home, running your own server, and hosting your own apps are amazing ways to experience what technology can do for you. And I want to help others on their journey of doing these things.
It’s also fun. I love reading other people’s blog posts about their random experiences with tech, or learning how other people’s home server setups work. I also want to share my experiences and hopefully you’ll find them interesting.
How?
Through this website, and maybe other ways in future.
I intend to write informative and interesting posts documenting the journey and methods used in setting up a multitude of different services and other tech stuff. I also might write posts that are more loosely related to tech, or maybe not at all, depending on how interesting I feel they might be. I guess we’ll see!
